What a great stay at the Farm! A beautiful wooded, quiet, and a great location. Laura and Blair are so hospitable. Warm homemade breakfast was delicious. We had the honor of enjoying breakfast and share life stories with Laura’s parents, the original owners of the B&B. We can’t wait to come back!

Our motorcycle group used the farm as our base camp for a fall Oktoberfest getaway, and we were not disappointed! The riding routes were excellent and well-planned. There are rooms, cabins and they can also accommodate RVs and tent campers. The owners could not have been nicer or been more helpful! Highly recommend!

Our motorcycle club had a weekend getaway here and Laura and Blair where fantastic hosts at this great facility. They've got comfortable lodge rooms, cabins with kitchenettes, RV hookups, and camping space so each of our 25+/- club members could choose their preferences. They have a full motorcycle workshop if you need it and when my airhead's charging system failed, Blair came out and towed me back (not once but twice)! I heard no complaints as we swapped stories around the campfire, Laura (and her mom) put out a great breakfast and all and all we enjoyed their great hospitality. Riding in the area is great and we'll be back for future 'getaways'!

I don’t usually write reviews — mostly because the places we stay at either meet expectations or come up a little short. But Penmerryl is a different story. It’s this interesting mix of horse ranch and motorcycle haven that somehow manages to feel both adventurous and peaceful at the same time. The grounds are beautiful, and there’s plenty to do — especially if you’re into ADV riding (if you know, you know). But honestly, none of that is what really makes Penmerryl special. What puts this place in a completely different category are Laura and Blair, the owners. It would be easy for them to treat this like just another business, but that’s not what you get here. The moment you arrive — sometimes even before you’ve parked — you can tell they genuinely care about every single person who shows up. They treat guests like friends stopping by their home, not customers. I’ve been to Penmerryl twice before on solo motorcycle trips, but this last time I brought my family. I worried that without bikes or horses, my kids might not have much to do — but they ended up having an incredible time. They spent their days riding bikes, hiking the trails, swimming, exploring, and just being kids. It was the kind of stay that lets everyone breathe a little deeper and reset. And here’s the part that really stuck with me: I had been talking up the breakfasts to my family for weeks. When Laura heard about it, she asked exactly what I’d told them — then went out of her way to make sure the breakfast lineup matched what I’d promised. That level of thoughtfulness just doesn’t happen by accident. Laura and Blair are what make Penmerryl feel like more than just a cool little hideaway in Virginia. They’ve built something that feels personal — the kind of place you’re already planning to come back to before you’ve even packed up the car.

This was quite possibly one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. My Son and Daughter in law had their wedding at this venue. Where do I start? Great food, Great and very clean rooms, phenomenal staff, and beautiful location. Go check it out. You will not be disappointed. Oh yeah the wifi/internet access was very quick.

If you're looking for a quick getaway that's within 3 hours of Washington DC metro area. Penmerryl won't disappoint! If you love the outdoors, like riding your tagged motorcycle or just want to chill. The Team at the farm are the nicest people you will meet in the hospitality busines!

The breakfast they served was phenomenal, and the attention and care they gave, not just to the venue, but to every single guest staying on-site was truly remarkable. They welcomed us to visit the property numerous times to scout ceremony and reception locations, plan tent layouts, and even help with wedding prep. The breathtaking views, combined with the owners’ kindness and dedication, made our wedding more magical than we ever imagined. I cannot thank Laura and Blair enough for everything they did to make our dream day come true. Penmerryl is a venue unlike any other, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
